Japanese era name (万延) for the years 1860–1861: 1860 is Man'en 1 (元年) and Man'en 2 is 1861. Man’en (万延) is a Japanese era name (nengō), proclaimed in 1860. Its years are counted in lunar years from the new year before the proclamation: 1860 is Man’en 1 (元年), 1861 its last year, Man’en 2.
