嘉禄

Term · calendar

Japanese era name (嘉禄) for the years 1225–1227: 1225 is Karoku 1 (元年) and Karoku 3 is 1227. Karoku (嘉禄) is a Japanese era name (nengō), proclaimed in 1225. Its years are counted in lunar years from the new year before the proclamation: 1225 is Karoku 1 (元年), 1227 its last year, Karoku 3. A Japanese source dates a year within it as “Karoku 2” (嘉禄2年) rather than by a continuous count. Before: Gennin. After: Antei.
