Japanese era name (大宝) for the years 701–703: 701 is Taihō 1 (元年) and Taihō 3 is 703. Taihō (大宝) is a Japanese era name (nengō), proclaimed in 701. Its years are counted in lunar years from the new year before the proclamation: 701 is Taihō 1 (元年), 703 its last year, Taihō 3.
